Mixing Phase: The exhaust gas entering the intake manifold mixes with fresh air and fuel to form a new air-fuel mixture. This process ensures that the exhaust gas is evenly distributed in the mixture, preparing for the subsequent combustion process.
Combustion Phase: The air-fuel mixture is introduced into the cylinder and ignited. Because the inert gases in the exhaust gas absorb some heat, the combustion temperature is lowered, thereby reducing the formation of nitrogen oxides. During this process, the EGR valve adjusts the amount of exhaust gas introduced in real time according to the engine operating conditions to ensure optimal environmental performance.
