The core function of the EGR valve is to precisely control the flow rate of exhaust gas recirculation. Its structure typically includes a valve body, an electromagnetic control unit, a position sensor, and a cooling module (in some models). When the engine is under medium to high load conditions, the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) sends a signal to the EGR valve's electromagnetic coil based on parameters such as engine speed, load, and coolant temperature, driving the valve core to open at a specific angle, allowing exhaust gas to pass through the valve body into the intake manifold. Modern EGR valves mostly adopt an electronic design, which, compared to traditional mechanical valves, has advantages such as faster response speed, higher control precision, and longer lifespan. Some high-end models also integrate a cooling function, reducing the intake air temperature by cooling the exhaust gas, further optimizing combustion efficiency.
